Based on the last year's Beijing World Cup, ITU and BOCOG have adjusted a part of the cycling course. The platform on the bottom of the dam has been extended till the end of the dam.
2008 Beijing Olympic Games Triathlon Competition course will be tested in this World Cup.

This Beijing World Cup is the test event for 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, and the Olympic standard management and operation will be adopted.

Start mechanism:
Diving start from a pontoon.
Race conditions:
1 lap course as on the 2008 Olympic Games. The distance to the first buoy will be 525 meters.
Water temperature:
Expected water temperature will be above 20C.
Cycle course:
6 laps of 6,6km, partly hilly and technical course. The surface of the bike course will be tartan carpet for a length of 1,4km. Two (2) wheel stops will be provided by the LOC.
Run Course:
4 laps of 2,5km, partly hilly. The surface of the run course will be tartan carpet for a length of 1,4km. Four (4) aid stations per lap will be provided.
